So did anyone else notice that this "refurbished" unit from always.deals did a bait and switch and used a NiMH battery and did not ship the proper Lithium Ion battery in the post?? We will see if they rectify this.

Well considering its $700 still new, I debated just buying the battery myself for $100, but by the time I buy a battery, extractor set, and 1 virtual wall, I'm likely $175 up on where I started so close to $700 and new.

Confirmed that the deal is live again at Costco.com. Just went to my local warehouse and they had just put the pallet out! $499 - 2% Costco Citi, plus 2 year warranty. Seemed too good to be true especially since it disappeared almost as soon as it went up last time.

I saw that costco online deal the other day @499. I just went home and checked back but it was gone. Then amazon had the 850 (woot) as deal of the day. I drove off to office and checked back an hour later but it was all sold out. I missed two sweet deals. For a refurb, i think the price here is just right. I’d probably wait for another deal at costco. Besides, im not in a hurry (obviously).

Hotrod911 is correct. Bought the 985 about a week ago at a Costco in Sarasota, Fl. For $499. You get 2 year warranty when bought from Costco. 2% discount when bought with Costco credit card. The day I bought mine, employee at register told me they were “flying” out of store that day. Very happy with it. Works as advertised.

I have this, and it's awesome. Keeps track of where it went with mapping, and as long as you keep up with emptying the bin and Roomba-proof your floor space it does the job.

DenisKononovIt does state there is a 90-day warranty, which coincides with iRobot's usual Refurb warranty policies . I know the refurbed ones sold thru newegg are 90-day thru iRobot.

Since it already shipped, it's a return. Just throwing it down as I find it a bit of a dishonest listing.
