Are these sourced from the Tuscany region, Firenze (Florence) to be exact?
$160 for full grain genuine Italian leather I think is a pretty good deal. I bought a full grain 15" leather messenger bag in marrone color, haggled it down to $175 from a small Loggia del Porcellino (aka the "Pig Market"; near Ponte Vecchio) leather stall in Florence last year. Leather grain is somewhat "uneven", but is thick and has "patina", which gives character. The more you use it, the better it looks. Quite durable and easy to maintain and condition.
