This pen's performance lives up to all of the hype, but I already had a bit of a QC problem with the build. The glue that secures the plastic barrel to the threaded body is no longer adhering. Quickly picked up the pen on maybe my third or fourth day of ownership and was surprised to be holding a hollow plastic barrel while the rest of the pen went flying across the room. Since the pen is working fine I have no interest in the hassle of an exchange, but does anyone have any recommendations on the best glue to use to get this back together permanently?
TheTimiHendrixExperienceOuch! Could you post a picture? I would be tempted to recommend superglue, but I'd rather not without having a clear idea of the failure.

TherocSame thing happened to mine. I used a loctite superglue. Works perfectly now.

I apologize for the quality not being the greatest, I'm on travel for work at the moment. I was going to use JB weld since I have it on hand, but felt it was probably overkill. I'm just trying to pick a glue that won't melt the plastic.
TheTimiHendrixExperienceThanks for the photos. I now know where to expect failure on my own Prescriptor. Judging by the 1st photo, specifically the clean plastic surface, I'd say someone forgot to apply glue during assembly of your pen. If this ever were to happen with my pen I'd use some superglue for sure. With superglue pulling the parts apart would be next to impossible, they could be twisted apart, however. It's still the best option; minimum amount of glue and low risk of damage to the pen. And as long as one does not forcefully twist it off it should hold for the life of the pen.

TheTimiHendrixExperienceThis is sometimes caused when the cap is pulled hard because the user forgets it is a screw cap. If you send an image of the threaded piece and dislocated barrel, we will send a replacement barrel. Superglue can be used but a tiny smear inside the barrel then push together swiftly. The glue must go inside the barrel or there is a danger that it will squeeze out onto the section. Do this with the converter removed. These pens are designed to last forever but please remember it has a screw cap. Italix Pens.
