I don't really understand why buying a seiko generic movement for the same price or more than a real seiko...
I know, all the "K" series are made in China, like Orient, BUT in some way, when I buy a 200m WR seiko I feel safer to swim with than another lambda pseudo watchmaker...
DoctI think it'd be durn near impossible to find a similarly styled/built Seiko in that price range. If the build quality is worth even half of the MSRP (Amazon sells this watch for 350, fwiw) then it'll be fine by me. I love the color selection....I just need one of those fence-sitters to mash the "BUY" button so I those of us that are interested don't get skunked.
tbjsnow it says 4 more.....allay'all need to step up and commit if you're on the fence - I'd be hella bummed if I don't get the one I just ordered cuz there aren't enough people purchasing this (hopefully) outstanding value.
USA designed, Japan movement, assembled in China: it's like having the United Nations on your wrist! :)
It does look nice, though. Reliable movement that hacks and hand winds, glass covered bezel and sapphire coated mineral on a metal strap at this price. And the colors are neat too.
ChoDingNot an expert but: 200m wr, sapphire crystal, seiko movement... thats a lot of watch for the money. Great choice if you need a beater for watersports and nice casual look as well.
I like the faux - guilloche dial and pleasing font choice - looks like they are aiming for a mid century vibe. The exposed date wheel is polarising but if you like the look it seems like a great deal to me.
ChoDingBuy the real things for the same price or less
Orient, Seiko
Orient - manufacture movement (means that they invent their own movement and not generic)
Seiko - just the original movement and watch and not the generic version
full of designs under 200$ and Quality/Price rate really high
