The size written in my Rockport derby shoes is UK 8/US 8.5. Which size is suitable for me?

If these are made to order why does it say certain sizes are out of stock? I can't order my size in any of the styles.

Good news, MD are refunding my purchase. My experience with breaking in shoes is that it's largely a fallacy, especially leather lined shoes. If they're not comfortable from the outset chances are they never will be. Your feet may eventually deform the leather to their contour in the long term, but at the cost of blisters, callouses and general grumpiness. Life's too short to put up with uncomfortable shoes.

Finally got to try on the shoes I received a couple weeks back, and it appears that sizing a half size up from my dress shoe size was dead on. Don't get me wrong, they're still snug, even with a slim no-show sock on, but I imagine a few wears will have them perfect. And they're just a beautiful, well-made sneaker. With that said, I have a previous order in Snuff Suede / UK 9.5 (my standard dress shoe size) that I'd be willing to part with for the Drop price + shipping (or pickup in Philadelphia if that works for anyone). Again, that should roughly fit someone with a medium/narrow foot and typically a UK9 / US10 dress shoe (though I'm not offering any guarantees). They're unworn besides being tried on on carpet, and have had shoe trees in them since buying. Get at me if that interests anyone, otherwise I'll probably ebay them (or hookup a friend with a nice deal).

@TheShoeSnob please see comments below. I'm considering returning these as the sizing and accompanying advice is inaccurate. I haven't approached customer service yet as no doubt they will try to reject the return. I do quite like the sneakers and would rather own a pair, but at the same time feel what I received is not fit for purpose. Given we've been screwed around by Massdroop with this prolonged wait are you willing to arrange exchanges for us? Could salvage some good will for both parties....

Bad advice from Justin regarding the sizing. I have a very low instep and took my sneakers the same size I wear shoes on the NGT last and they turn out to be too short, I'm forced to wear them without the insole if I want to be comfortable.

Same, I was planning to get UK10.5, but based on advice went with UK10 and I can't get my foot in without undoing laces almost completely....

What advice made you size down? Everything I read was to err on the side of sizing up if in doubt.

Dear MassDrop, could you, please, give any information about this drop? We are waiting more than 3 weeks and have no idea what is going on with this drop.
