Did anyone else order the Dark Brown Museum Calfskin/Dark brown Scotch Grain and got this? I am devastated after waiting this long. On a positive note, just like the previous drop for the Magnolia, I find J Fitzpatrick sizing is spot on for me.

? Not quite as described
I can understand how you feel and I am sorry for this. I really do not know what happened at the factory as I submitted the order correctly and of course everyone there shies away from blame. But I am also not sure what took Massdrop a month to get your shoes to you though as we delivered them at the end of July/very beginning of August to their warehouse. What did MD say to you as a rectification? They simply refunded you?

TheShoeSnobThey covered return shipping and said I would receive a refund when the shoes arrived back at their warehouse. MD seems mostly concerned about mitigating responsibility so no actual apology or explanation of what went wrong.

If anyone here mistakenly got 7.5UK F-width shoes (Snuff suede and Dark Brown), but ordered E-width, I was likely sent your shoes by mistake and you may have my loafers.
Let me or massdrop know, so we can arrange a trade.

Ughhh.. well I'm selling mine if anyone is interested.... size 8 US in burgundy suede.
I'm pretty pissed, I was going to go with 7.5 US but the good lad @TheShoeSnob said these loafers are a tight fit.... I don't see it at all. They are pretty big. Should of just went with my instinct. sigh..

Here's pictures of me measuring my left foot standing up. Seems like an 8, however width is c. So more on the narrower side.
If I sit and forcefully push my foot on the back of the device I barely reach 7.5-7.75. What size do you reckon I should of taken?

MajedchUnfortunately I do not believe that Brannock's truly measure accurately as they are only two dimensional and the foot has many factors that create good fit. If your instep is low, it is a major factor to take into account. Funny enough your foot actually looks exactly like my own, barely hitting US8 and measuring at 'C width' (I don't believe brannock measures width even close to accurately) and I take the US8/UK7 (in our loafers, UK6.5 in our oxfords). So in theory, I believe that I suggested accurately from the knowledge given. I am sorry that it was wrong. I cannot say what you should take. But if US8 is too big, then the only other option would be UK6.5/US7.5

Got mine in burgundy suede. The shoes are gorgeous and the quality is great. However the sizing is off. I got them in 8 US and they are a little big. Could of went with the 7.5 US. I trusted the shoe snob a lot because he said they are loafers and they are made to be smaller and they are tight around the heel. Not true at all. There is quite a bit of room in the heel for me with some slip. I'll have to unfortunately put some of those heel spacers thingies. Pretty disappointing...
Usually I wear size 8.5 US in sneakers (Nike, New Balance) and 8 US/41 EU in dress shoes.

Anyone Looking for a UK 10F in Dark Brown Museum Calf? They are unfortunately too large for me. If anyone wants to trade their UK9.5 for this, that would be quite a miracle.
Selling at Massdrop price, but I'll pay for the shipping.

This is super late, but I just wanted to reconfirm. @TheShoeSnob I am a US10.5e on the brannock so I generally have to buy shoes half a size up. Due to this thinking, I ordered the UK 10 F. Is that the right choice?
Best,
Pacman2unfortunately I think that you ordered too big as we recommend a full size down and an F is more like EE. But one cannot say for sure. I could be wrong and they could fit but I am doubtful. I am sorry

TheShoeSnobaw Shucks, is there any thing you can do to change the size during manufacturing or is it too late at this point. I believe this is shipping in August.

Another sizing question-
I typically wear a 10.5D in US sizing whenever something fits "true to size", such as the Alden tassels which are on their Aberdeen last. Barrie last I am a 10 D. Allen Edmonds loafers fit me with a size 10.5 D US and I just got some Belgian Shoes and was a size 10 there.
9.5 UK?
I assume there are no exchanges, so I want to get it right.
jdillardwattI would say the UK9.5 yes

As someone who's purchased this exact pair directly from their online store a year ago, I can attest to their comfort levels for these loafers (you do have to get your size right though!). These are loafers you can walk in all day and never feel tired. In terms of quality though, I'm not too sure if mine's just the odd one or perhaps just the way I walked, but it began fraying at the topline within a couple of months (see image). I raised the issue to the store when I was considering a 2nd purchase, but they never got back to me on it. Other than that, I would recommend this pair. For suggested sizing, get something that fits quite snugly because it does expand in size after a few wears.

Hi Justin, I actually just got a reply from your sales manager minutes after I sent my first post here. No worries, I sent that email during the sales period so it was probably also quite busy for you guys.
I actually suspected that it was just a one-off incident for the right shoe because my left has none of the fraying issues at all. But as I mentioned previously, the pair I had was so comfortable I sometimes skipped my schedule of alternating shoes just so I could wear them, so again possible that I might be harder on the shoes >.<. Seriously considering getting another pair in a different colour just so that I don't over wear them in future!
Again, I'd recommend this pair in terms of the comfort and style of this loafer. I've mentioned the comfort levels previously already. In terms of style, there aren't many penny loafers with a full saddle from sole to sole so it's a different style to the usual ones.
Ryushoyes, he told me that he sent one right after reading this comment, but I wanted to assure you that I remember vividly the day he got the email about a month and half/two months ago just so you know that we never blanked you.
Glad that despite the issue at hand that you enjoyed them a lot. If you do end up getting another pair, I suspect and hope that the issues does not happen again (maybe get two and rotate :-)
Thanks again
Justin

It's probably too late since I already put the order in, but I have a couple of pairs of Meermins on the Ron last that are 9.5 so I assume the size would be the same. I generally wear a U.S. 10.5

6 1/2 E fits my feet just nice however, the toe area is a bit tight. The sales person at Carmina told me that it takes sometime for the leather to mould to the shape of my feet. Should is just stick with 6 1/2 E or go for the 6 1/2 F? I am afraid that it will slide.
