A little scratchy. A light no-frills rollerball that write pretty well. Great colour inks!
The pens are very basic, no frills. The clear plastic construction is very light weight, though it might feel somewhat flimsy to some. The pen body itself is short so it is better to write with it posted; it doesn't post really securely, but it works most of the time. The writing feels a scratchy if you overdo the writing pressure. Otherwise, I do not find it scratchy most of the time on the papers and books I use it. It has become my daily work pen. Based on the other review though, there might have been quality control issues with some of the batches, so I probably got lucky here. The washer sitting in between 2 piece barrel of the pen falls out easily, so it should be watched for when refilling the pen - it is helpful at slowing down the formation of plastic cracks in the threads from happening if you have a bad habit of over-tightening when screwing pen barrels after refills. It accepts the inks I filled it with so far without problems. It should be possible to do an eye-dropper conversion for it. The inks that came bundle with it has a nice pleasant colour, and flows easily in this pen, though it feathers a little too much for my tastes.

For what they are, very basic pens with no frills, they are almost perfect. I haven't used all the inks but black and brown work well in my pens without skipping at all. These can be used for newspaper crossword puzzles! If you lose one they aren't very expensive and they are so versatile I can't see any reason they wouldn't make an everyday pen.

They are pretty neat, I like the idea of a rollerball I can refill with my fountain pen inks. They are somewhat small though, even when the cap is posted. But it makes for a nice sized 'travel' pen. I got one of each of the ink packs and the darker inks are OK, but the yellow/green MUST be shaken before use or you really can't read it. All in all, it's a fun pen but I am not sure I'd get another one. I'm not having any trouble with skipping in the inks though...

These pens feel very cheap and are not a joy to use. They skip and don't write smoothly. I'd rather use a BIC.

A bit disappointed with these. The roller ball is scratchy to write with and the pens feel short in the hand. The latter is my fault for not measuring but the former is a real shame.

My husband prefers these. I prefer fountain pens. We have used them with cartridges and bottled ink (converters, or refilled cartridges with blunted syringes). We would have preferred a material other than clear plastic. Metal would be nice, for the durability. Both of us like the freedom of choice in inks, as well as the fact that it can be refilled with very little waste. They write well, but are, in my opinion, more difficult to clean between colors than fountain pens. If you have the option, commit to an ink before filling the pen, so you can minimize cleaning.

Fine point is too scratchy for a rollerball.

Extremely pleased with the pens, and the ink. Only reason for 4 vs. 5 stars is there's a (very) minor amount of leakage within the pen which depending on your view may either enhance the aesthetic with a little "chaos" or spoil the look with ink "splots". Personally I'm just happy that I can have any colour ink I want :-)

Very pleased with pens, would’ve liked to have had a finer tip. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars versus 5 stars.

works as advertised. some variable in the smoothness of the ball, but in the end smooths out. Have used "Bulletproof" Noodler and Parker "Quink" inks in these pens. Both inks are water resistant when dry. used with converter and not with cartridge.
