Jack & Jones Pants

I've noticed a ton of fellow developers wearing them around the office. They look decent enough as passable casual office attire and I'm told that they are very comfortable. Beats the heck out of wearing slacks or having difficulties fitting into any pairs of pants because they are within an awkward BMI range where their waistline is in between sizes.

I don't get it. Are people actually clamoring for more elastic waistband pants? I find them uncomfortable and dumpy looking.
