between the zippers and the shoulder strap, my original bag only lasted 1 trip. They sent me a replacement, I had the same problem with the shoulder strap again. I ended up getting a similar bag from a competitor and haven't had a problem since. I would not recommend this.
The zippers on this thing, as well as the zipper pulls/rings, are all crap. Super difficult to close it up once a suit is in the garment bag portion. I had a similar product previously, similar price point, overall design, etc., and that one lasted me ~9-10 years. One of the zipper pulls on this one broke after the first trip I used it. I will be returning and/or tossing out this item...
I was excited to get this for my trip to Vegas with my wife until I got it. The top zipper is missing the pull, one of the side rings used to hold the side zippers together broke on first use (made out of cheap pot metal), and it was missing the shoulder strap and a hanging hook. Not having an alternative at the moment after spending and going on my trip, I took it anyways.
Pros: Works as designed mostly. Compartment for shoes is great, although it does take up a bit of space, if you bring a backpack with you as your personal item it may be easier to just put your shoes in there. Plenty of pockets all over the place.
Cons: Very poor quality control as noted above. The side zipper pulls are plastic attached to bungee material instead of metal which is totally bizarre. The front pocket zippers were closed with the zippers in the wrong position, so that means that no one even bothered to try opening the zippers after they were sewn in. I am 5'5" and wear a 42S jacket. It barely fits in there with a regular hanger and if you don't roll it up just right will crease the bottom. I can't imagine someone with a regular or long suit using this and being happy. It should have come with a special short hanger. The top "rail" of the bag should have been reinforced with a steel rod or something to keep the bag from flexing and allowing you to hang it without it drooping.
I would not buy this again after using it without a bit of a redesign.
faxyWas able to have the option to return for refund or replace. I went with the return option as per my design comments above, it doesn't quite meet my needs.
Great product -
sturdy. Wish they would waterproof the material - I used a rainEx type of repellant spray. It’s larger than I’d imagined, but would classify as a personal item - had no problems with Frontier Airlines (picky about baggage).
The zippers are balky and not easy to zip up. The hanging clothes space is too small for a suit on a wooden hanger. The price was very affordable, but I’ve used twice now and won’t likely use it more. It’s just not as quick to pack and put together as I’d like.
