Great news, we went through our bank records and it looks like the initial wire of money that we sent to Japan Blue bounced and is back in our account. We were specifically looking for a transfer from Japan Blue, but since they didn't effectively receive the funds, they never needed to send them back. So we're all settled on this side of the business. Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop.

Hi everyone,
We posted on the Momotaro page to update users, and neglected to cross-post it here, I'm really sorry about that. What Asnyd has posted is correct.
We paid Japan Blue for the order, they said they shipped it, and then they never shipped it. The last communication from them is that they're going to return us the funds for the order (which they haven't done yet) - in fact, they haven't replied to our emails for the past week.
It's extremely unfortunate but we're going to have to refund all of your orders. Hopefully we'll get the money back from Japan Blue, but regardless, you will all receive your refunds immediately (Visa takes a couple days to process them, Paypal should show up on Monday).
If Japan Blue (and Momotaro) change their mind and ship us the jeans (or agree to a future groupbuy) we'll notify everyone and give you first dibs on the next buy.
Everyone participating in the drop will also receive a $10 credit towards a future massdrop purchase. Just email support@massdrop.com when you sign up and the support team will apply the credit to your next purchase.

Well, if nobody from Massdrop feels like addressing the 100 or so of us that paid for jeans almost a month ago, I'll post what's on Reddit, sounds like they're having issues with Momotaro and possibly our order:
Momotaro 0702 Jeans Update Hey Everybody, There have been additional complications coming from Momotaro, and to be completely honest, we're not sure exactly what the final result will be. First and foremost, we have paid for the Japan Blue group buy, but we have not paid for the Momotaro order yet. Regardless of the status of what has and hasn't been paid for, if anyone is concerned and wants a refund, we will provide one to you immediately (just email support@massdrop.com). A summary: Japan Blue Group Buy - Invoiced, Paid, We've been told that it has shipped (tracking not yet received). Momotaro Group Buy - Not Invoiced, Not Paid, Not Shipped. Our communications with them in Japan (given time difference and language barriers), have been strained to say the least. They have relayed their concerns about pricing complaints that have come from their retail channel, have instructed us to cease selling at our discounted prices, but have been unclear about the existing orders. Meanwhile, they have continued to ship us new sample pairs of jeans - presumably to list on Massdrop - which is puzzling to say the least. Japan Blue and Momotaro are affiliated, so the vendor's decision to work with the group affects both buys. At Massdrop, we do our utmost to be transparent and educate our vendors on our group-buy process and ensure that they're aware of everything that is happening. We've run over 1000 group buys and this has never happened. It's our goal to straighten things out with Momotaro/Japan Blue and fulfill your order as initially promised. However, at this time, we want the group to know that things aren't going as smoothly as usual. If we don't have a definitive answer, invoice, and purchase order in place by the end of next week, we will automatically cancel the buy and return everyone's funds, as well as provide a $10 credit to your next Massdrop purchase. As mentioned earlier, if you would like a refund (and credit) prior to that, just email support and we'll do it immediately. There are retail vendors monitoring Massdrop and this process (fighting to not let us fulfill your order) so please excuse us that we won't be providing an email by email account as to exactly what's happening. At the end of the day, we have you covered. We’re doing everything possible to fulfill your orders but if that process doesn't start in the next seven days, we can at least make sure you receive a full refund, regardless of what we receive from Momotaro/JB. AlanHuynhI was thinking the same thing, but I realized that they sent out an email about two weeks ago stating that the jeans had been shipped. If it's coming from Japan, it's going to take sometime to reach us. I want to say it may take 2-3 weeks for the shipping time. In my opinion, I think the raw denim will arrive soon. I hate being in the dark about things like this..

So, if we haven't received a separate email yet, is it safe to assume our order is in the batch of 80, or has that not been processed yet?

Hey guys, We have just been informed that the first batch of our order (80 pairs) has been shipped out by Japan Blue. We have already alerted our warehouse staff about this shipment, so we should be able to process the bulk shipment upon arrival, and repackage them into individual orders before shipping them out to everyone very quickly. Unfortunately, we were also informed by Japan Blue that they had an unexpected shortage in their inventory for the jeans we ordered. As a result of the shortage, we have to commission Japan Blue for a production run of 40 pairs of jeans just to fulfill our order. The production run is being scheduled, and will start shortly. Japan Blue indicated that it’d take 45-50 days for the remaining order to be ready for shipping. I’ll be sending a separate email to the members that are affected by this delay shortly afterwards. Rest assured, despite the extended wait time, we will make sure you receive what you order. But if you prefer not to wait and have your order cancelled altogether, we can have your refund processed right away.

Holy cow everyone! Despite this being our first ever raw denim drop, we have just submitted our order of over 120 pairs of Japan Blue Raw Denim Jeans! Massdrop is a platform that helps members within the community shop together at wholesale pricing. It’s pretty incredible that we managed to get more than 110 people in this drop within the 7 days it had been active. Now that the bulk order has been placed, Japan Blue is preparing the order for shipment. In the meantime, we will also be preparing our warehouse to handle the reshipment of the product to everyone as soon as the order arrives. We are just waiting for confirmation on the shipment schedule from Japan Blue now, we will be sure to update again here once that’s available. Cheers!

i normally wear a (34-36W)x36L and want to grab these too. is the 36W really equivalent to a 38W? This is ending soon so i wont have the time to go home and measure a pair of jeans.. in the event of the sizing being totally wrong will we be able to exchange and can it be done in a timely fashion? thanks
