Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde SW Automatic Watch

They are more of a lesser known swiss brand. People think of Rolex and breitling and tag heuer as high end. When in reality they are more of swiss medium end brands. Higher ends are more in the range of Jacob & co, christophe claret, arminstrom, de bethune, etc. jaquet droz is between rolex and these higher end brands, all of which are lesser known, this brand does usually sell for about their price. The drop price is the best i have ever seen one sell for.

Originally, it was common to use IIII to represent four, because IV represented the Roman god Jupiter, whose Latin name, IVPPITER, begins with IV. The subtractive notation (which uses IV instead of IIII) has become the standard notation only in modern times.

Both are correct, Romans change it at some-point. The "subtract" form was widely, but never universally, followed. Seems Swiss guards liked the "additive" form. :D
