I've sent a message to JayBird's Direct Help ticketing service asking about the warranty in relation to MassDrop purchases of the JayBird X2s. They say they should respond in 24 hours, I'll post whatever I get back from them here, hopefully before the joining period ends.
Edit: Though with what Danny posted before me, perhaps it's unnecessary if MassDrop will honour the warranty, even if JayBird does not? (Which they hopefully will.)

I spoke to someone from jay bird on the site's live chat. According to them massdrop is not an authorised retailer. So the warranty may not apply on their end. If massdrop does still support it and helps in getting replacements, then I guess it's okay for some people.

Still waiting for a reply, but see Prashanth's reply; "According to them massdrop is not an authorised retailer. So the warranty may not apply on their end."
If MassDrop is going to hold up the warranty however, it might not be so bad.
