I am shocked that someone actually put in to buy a pair after the lengthy conversation here. Go to RPMWest's site and pick up their denim for half the price. American-made, using Japanese selvedge, and tell them Dry Run Goods sent you.

Too bad they don't pass along those "cut costs" to the consumer. A 1000% markup seems a little greedy.

"100% selvedge denim" but from where thought? I really like the styling details on these but you can expect people to pay $150 SALE price for jeans and then not tell them where the denim is from. To me it looks like either the Cone orange selvage used by bravestar or the peach id cone used by gustin, neither of which would justify this price. then again it could be some super special denim produced exclusively for them, but again, how would I know, there's no info on it.

I have been wearing jean shop jeans since they began making goods off shore as it fit my budget. I can tell you that a waist size 34 measures a 34 and the inseam will measure true to 32.5". The rise and knee bottom ratio is exactly as they state on their measurements. Follow others if you feel you must but opinions are like....well...you know what I mean

kalupasanI'm a little curious about that considering that on their website(the most awful infuriating crappy mobile website I've ever had the displeasure of using I might add) the offer no waste sizing guides just "true to size" followed by a picture of someone measuring a waist the exact WRONG way your supposed to measure, which would give you smaller measurements. Check out Gustins jean measuring chart here:

Now check out jeans shops, "how do you measure jeans":

So do you rely on the sizing of measuring properly or by measuring with the improper technique they show?

Does the light wash come with rips? Or is that just for the marketing photos?

Welcome Jean Shop to Massdrop, everyone!
We’re really proud to be partnering with one of the true pioneers of high quality denim in the US. Since 2004, Jean Shop has been at the forefront of denim culture, from their iconic orange selvage to their perfected fits, the brand founders bring their industry know-how to the category like few others players in the denim market can.
For our first event with the brand, we’re focusing on their best-selling fit, the Mick/Slim fit, in three iconic washes: raw (unwashed), dark medium, and the light wash New York Vintage. Please refer to the details in the main page for sizing information.
