This is the size of the chessboard, we make it by hand, there will be some slight differences in each board, however, it is really insignificant, and this is the size Length x width x height:

well, each piece is 1u size and each square on the chessboard is slightly larger than the 1u piece, it can be roughly eyeballed to have around 17 or 18mm + 5 or 6mm of X and Y dimensions, so each square is anywhere around 22-24mm by 22-24mm
the chessboard is 8u x 8u so that gives us roughly 176-192mm X and Y
the height of the total box can be roughly eyeballed using dimensions of the squares, which appears to be about double the length (size) of the squares and that gives us a height of 44-48mm
the box, with chessboard on top, is roughly 176-192mm x 176-196mm with a height of 44-48mm
or they could just list the dimensions in the specs, hah

Am I understanding correctly that it's $1799 for the pieces and $80 for the board to actually be able to play a game of chess?

$1799 is the discounted price for a total of 32 chess pieces, each of which is completely handmade with casting resin, priced at $59 per piece.
