Just to leave a bit of a review, I love this thing. It's my most used flashlight, since it's very difficult to lose like my other flashlights thanks to it's magnetic base. I keep it stuck on top of my PC tower, it never gets knocked off, it's always at hand.
Whether it's handheld or in the head harness, I love that the light is side mounted. Speaking of the head harness, the flashlight fits VERY firmly in it. It can actually be a struggle to get in or out, but it's worth it considering it means the light won't move from it's desired position. As far as brightness goes, I'm no lumenphile, but I'm happy with the range of brightness, and find the highest brightness plenty; in fact, I rarely use it at full brightness. Notes: I run it on eneloops, and the light level is run on a dimmer so that you have great control on brightness.
I mostly also use it in the shop and for projects (primarily woodworking, but also metalworking, electronics, and internal PC work) where it's extremely useful. I can attach it to ferrous surfaces, which are plentiful around project areas, or use it in the head harness. The harness is very adjustable, so it can fit snugly on my head, and isn't displaced by ear protectors, safety goggles, or face shields; or all of the above put together on top of it. The variable brightness is also helpful. I might need high brightness while looking into a deep compartment, or low brightness to avoid glare on something I need a close look at with extra illumination, such as when guiding wood on the bandsaw.
I will be the first person to admit I have made some regrettable purchases in the past, but this is definitely not one of them. I'm not a cyclist, and don't get out in the bush as I'd like, so I can't comment on how good it would be outdoors. However, I would definitely recommend it for anyone who does similar shop activities or just wants something for around the house.

This think sucks, it regulates down to about 50% brightness if left on max for more than a couple of seconds and won't go any brighter until you cycle it off and on again. New battery or not, it behaves the same. JETBeam support is non existent, my emails went unanswered.

teh_niemerOk, so AA. that's about 1.5V. 14500 batteries offer 3.7V in the same package size, this flashlight can recognize what type of battery is in it, and adjusts the output to match.
Edit: Eneloops are NI-MH right? That type of battery is good at being long lasting but not for high output. this may be why the flashlight is recognizing a power drop and limiting its output.

I received my JETBeam H10A yesterday. I was surprised because I received a shipment notification followed by a delivery notification this morning. Hah. Anyways, my $7 Amazon Cree LED flashlight from China is brighter than this. I was hoping for more output from an AA battery. Now I have to buy a 14500 battery to get more power.

Mine came today. Over a week ahead of schedule! I would like to offer my initial observations as JETBeam seems to be light on instructions. The spare parts came with an extra seal, the belt clip, an allen wrench and 4 screws.
For operation, a single click turns on and off the unit. While on, holding the button will lower and/or raise the intensity. While on, a double click will enable strobe mode. Single click to exit. While off, hold the button for two seconds then release. Congrats, a dim and dull red light will begin blinking. Hold for two seconds to turn off, or single click to turn on the unit.
Overall, this is an amazing unit for a closet lumen-phile, It is quite bright even on my stash of Radio Shack AAs.

It's a go! The order for the JETBeam H10A Headlamp was placed just after the drop came to an end. Now our vendor will be working hard to prepare it for shipment to each of you.

WadeeaAs far as I can tell, there is only a flashing mode with the red light. It would have been nice to have more use from it.

With AA max brightness at 120lm, 1.5hr run time. With 14500 max 320lm 1hr run time.
Low 0.1lm 190hr run time.
