I got this the first time around "1/2/2015'ish" and the studs/tabs of the micro USB port weren't soldered, leading to the pins getting pulled off the traces... Just got around to fixing it like 2 days ago. :-) Other than that, the internals looked fine and I didn't really see any glaring problems with the circuit design. Though there have probably been several revisions.

A year later and despite my scathing comment I still use this thing. I opened it up using your pictures as reference to cut out space around the Micro USB to make more room cables to actually fit into this thank.
The Nintendo switch is around the corner and I'm digging this out of the closet to charge it.
