omar_ramos_454That doesn't really answer my question. I understand that many turn off charging while outputting power as a safety feature. But, it makes use impossible for my use-case. I need a battery pack for camping, to use at basecamp to store power off a solar panel while outputting power to other devices... like running a USB fan and charging a GPS or phone.
I'm not going to plug the thing into itself, but I can see how others would do it accidentally.
AuzzlowIt sounds like you're looking for something with "pass-through" technology- some way for you to gather power when you can (when the sun is shining) and use it when you need it (whether the sun is shining or not). Many of these power banks do not have that, but usually don't explicitly indicate as such. Perhaps a UPS system would be a better fit for you?
Cheers.
