Ignoring any "brand", you are likely paying for a more expensive (better quality) product. Not all 10-port USB hubs are the same. Some are more money, some are less. Massdrop usually tries to avoid bottom-of-the-barrel items.
For example, if I can get a $25 wallet on massdrop, and a $1 wallet at the thrift store, I'm not just "paying for the brand" here.
And given how the last usb3 hub did I'd be much more willing to trust massdrop's choice this time around.

I also know that Juiced is one of the brands that you do tend to pay for a name. They sell other products (car chargers, portable battery chargers, etc) for 10-15 dollars more than competitors for similar products.
I'm just trying to make sure people don't get sucked into this "Oh I'm saving so much money because it's normally $79 and I'm getting it for $47" mentality because they could get a very competitive product for A LOT less somewhere else.

That's actually how these wound up on the site, because when we listed Satechi, people pointed me in the direction of Juiced Systems. They're very similar products with very similar price points, but this has the aluminum case that people requested.
