Comments on Amazon are pretty damning. Plug in the USB 2.0 port and everything drops to 2.0 speed. Complaints about not powering some devices, weird power warnings from computer OS, DC input too shallow for plug, leaving metal exposed. I so wanted to buy this, but I really can't see it now.

ricbretWhere are you finding comments for this hub on Amazon? Anyway how do you expect to get USB 3.0 speeds from a USB 2.0 port?

dag.odenhallI think what he's saying is that when you plug in a USB 2.0 device, other USB 3.0 devices that are plugged in drop to USB 2.0 speeds.
