At base spec, 13 USB 3 ports need at least 11.7 amps. Very underpowered.

The USB 3.0 spec has 3 different configurations. Low power (150mA) per port, and high power (900ma) per port, both have the same data transfer rates of up to 5 Gb/sec. There is also a battery charging configuration which allows up to 1.5A per port, but without any data transmission. The 3.1 spec has been published to allow up to 10Gb/sec. data transmission rate. Also the 5.0A listed in the spec is for the input power supply at 12V for 60W total. The ports themselves are 5V out or 4.5W at full high power configuration.
I have the 10 port SATECHI hub and it's a superb performer.
