Forgive my ignorance, but can you achieve gigabit speeds through USB-C? I thought that it was still slower than a dedicated gigabit port.

RidevaDemocritusUSB 3.0 and higher is faster than a gigabit connection. Assuming this is USB-C gen 2, it can transfer 10Gb / s as opposed to ethernet's 1Gb / s
