What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

So, you may or may not know that I paid for some post cards and hand signed them all for the R1 buyers on MD as a small thank you to everyone that supported the buy. This time around with nearly 2k orders, that was not really something I had time/could afford to do. But I do want to do a little something special for this drop. After all the kits are shipped and delivered (Mid-Late Jan I would say is a safe bet at the current time) I'm going to start a thread right here on MD asking people to simply post their Jukebox keyboards. I'll then be assigning numbers and doing a live giveaway on a stream with a RNG for some Jukebox related items. Any/all are going to be able to win, regardless of location.
I will post a link to the giveaway thread here when I start it, and then give it a month or so before doing the actual giveaway, just to ensure nobody is rushed and that any lingering sets may be delivered :)
In the meantime I hope everyone has a happy holiday season and enjoys the sets!
