Very thin for wear under dress sleeve
Obviously love the Max Bill line of watches. This one wears light and thin and makes for a great dress watch that disappears under the sleeve. I don't might medium to smaller size watches, but this is on the smallish size for me. I could see a lot of guys that like beefier watches finding this underwhelming. As a fan, I also have a Max Bill chrono that has a larger case and dial size, with equally clean face layout. Would highly recommend the chronos if you want something a bit larger.

Love the design but can't keep time.
I love the bauhaus design and glad that Drop finally put this watch on sale. It look great and even thought it did not have a sapphire glass, it still look like new with some care while using. However, my watch can't keep time. It run about 2 minutes late every 24hr. Afraid that it got damage during international shipping, I got it checked with my local watchmaker and he confirmed that it run slow and can't keep power reserve. Since it had no warrenty, I have to paid for a service with my own money. Now it run fine with slight delay (aroud 5-10 sec per day) but tolerable. And the case back is easily scratch from normal use. Even though I love this watch and use it everyday, it still leave a bitter taste. I would not recommend to buy this watch from Drop due to no warrenty, and no Sapphire glass option (which Junghans just add recently). I saw that a lot people who get this watch from Drop keep good time, but if you don't wanna risk, especially those who order internationally, find a good dealer in your local area,

Even more elegant in the metal than in photos. Also keeps time better than my Grand Seiko, don't know if I should be disappointed with the GS or seriously impressed with the 2824 in the Max Bill.

Beautiful and well-designed. A little hard to read the gold-on-white version in low light.

This watch is admittedly not the correct watch for many who will read this. But it just so right with how the details remain faithful to the original Max Bill watches. Barely-there bezel, high-dome plastic crystal, thin lugs, they all look like it came from 60 years ago. Minimal and still very functional, as Bauhaus should be.
Why is it not for everybody? The crystal is a polarizing thing in the world of watches. There are going to be some who will feel any watch at this price point has to have sapphire crystal. I say trying to get this look with some high-dome sapphire crystal might be impossible. It has to be with a thin plastic crystal or it will look like it has some Coke-bottle glass on it. And this crystal is coated to give extra scratch-resistance and reduce glare. But I also am not going to intentionally test the scratch resistance. The crown is small like the period watches, just big enough to wind and set with. The dial is finished pretty much perfectly. The minute hashes are even a silver color instead of being printed in white like many watches would be. Easy to appreciate with some macro photography.
On my particular watch, the movement might have received a proper calibration. I found it barely gained a couple of seconds per day wearing it daily for 2 weeks. I have no complaints, just some admiration.
