At the heart of the Bauhaus Movement is simplicity, geometric congruity, and functionality. It’s with these guiding principles that Max Bill—a student of the movement himself—designed one of the most iconic Bauhaus timepieces of all time. Originally produced in 1957 by Germany-based Junghans, it’s now being re-released in a variety of styles that pay homage to the original. This one, a manual-winding iteration, features a domed crystal that magnifies the clean, crisp, easy-to-read dial. It’s appointed with slim hour markers, lumed pips, stylized Arabic numerals, and a date display at the 3 o’clock position.
