I'm interested, but I don't know what 'fully sprung' base means... I have a plastic case on my phone with an open bottom that protrudes over the bottom of my phone by about 1/16", but I can't tell if the connector will reach up far enough to connect. No interest in removing case just to use this base -- it's pretty and cool, but not worth the trouble. Convince me that it will work and you'll probably sell others.

burkefranklinAluBolt is compatible with "open-bottom" cases. If you have a case that wraps around the bottom of iPhone then it won't be compatible. The black base-bar is spring-loaded so it flexes forward/backward as you grap and lift the iPhone up from the base. It is designed so you don't break the Lightning plug easily.
