For users that have phatphones wider than 2.8" (max width of the included cradle), there is a designed solution in the Xtand Go package. There are "Go buttons" (pkg provides 3pcs, shown in photos) that you can affix to the back of your phone and the phone can just latch to the extending arm (without using the cradle). This is a catch-all design to make it compatible with everything else the cradle can not accommodate.
The Go button has specialized 3M self-adhesive that is strong yet can be removed without harm to your phone. Most users use a simple slim case and put the Go btn on back of the case, to keep their phone pristine. The Go btn can also be used to convert windshield mount (using suction cup) to dashboard mount (using Go btn) as the base of the extension arm.
