This would be cooler if it spun or something to wind up the cable. Manually winding your headphone around the wide base of a 10" spire is silly. You'll spend more time winding and unwinding the cable than you would spend untangling it if you just wadded it up. I understand that some people just appreciate the aesthetic demonstrated in these photos, though. That's cool.
