VixxZTotally different, these were kinda bassy, warmer, feels more dynamic while fdx1 was analytical, clear, faster response.

daidaiThanks! I'm out of this drop then. Nowadays what impresses me most are highs that are resolving but not harsh. Can't wait for my FDX1 to arrive.

VixxZ"Resolving but not harsh"... makes me think of estats. If you've not given a pair a listen it might be right up your alley.

ElectronicVicesYes, I've had a little experience with estats. In terms of resolution without harshness though, for me the gold standard is the AMT driver. It delivers the most perfect highs I've ever heard. Unfortunately, it's classically been unable to reproduce the very low end of frequencies. Though, HEDD has just come up with a full-range AMT driver. That should be interesting.
