Since my purchase was elsewhere, I can't review. Here are my thoughts. What's included in the package: 1. A real nice circular leather case with foam cutouts for the IEMs. My Linsoul cable fit, but the included cable fits better. 2. The same cable that was included with the JVC HA-FW1800. Note: No shirt clip again, but that doesn't matter as much here with over the ear. 3. Spiral Dot Silicone tips in 5 sizes. No foam I don't think, not even sure where mine went since I have so many around now. The look: Dark wood, very shiny finish. Gold all around. They look great, I just wish I could get Linsoul cables with gold now to match. The difference with past models: Big difference here is that these go over the ear, where the past JVC woodies had straight cables. The HA-FW1800 shared the same drivers, but the body is completely different between the two. Different type of wood, MMCX terminal outside the body, a large amount of laqcuer, and inclusion of silk and japanese paper for sound qualities highlight the differences in the bodies. Are they worth it? Maybe? I struggle with this portion when writing up reviews, I tend to listen to my new flagships and forget everything else exists. When I got the HA-FW1800 I orphaned my HA-FW01. Same thing here, HA-FW10000 replaced my HA-FW1800. I will say each was my favorite IEM when they were the best I owned, so if you are happy with one then great. If you don't know which to pick target your price and go there. Why did you buy these when you already had nice IEMs? I may or may not have a problem. Sennheiser open backs were my first love, then I found Audio Technica wooden closed backs. I never liked anything in ear, then I found JVC HA-FX850 one day. Offer me a new/better version of any of those three and I'm hard pressed to say no. Tech stack: I listen to my JVC woodies almost exclusively on a Cowon Plenue L. HD FLAC when available, otherwise FLAC. My Turn Table setup is Marantz TT12S1 -> Pro-Ject Tube Box S -> Drop THX AAA 789, but I normally go with full headphones or speakers there. If anyone has any questions, ask away. Drop - Feel free to move this to reviews with 5 stars. Also feel free to send me anything audiophile based made with wood, due to already disclosed problem.
