This can reminds me of my RP HD10K Panasonic. So, there is no way I would value this can at 499 USD. Many similar headphones have good diaphragm but lacks of strong magnetic which now I care the most. My next upgrade will be Headphones featuring Tesla units. For examples, th900 & Breyerdynamic t1. I don’t know what sound signature they produce but science can’t lie about performance.

shionmuWait, didn't they just highlight the Tesla-strength magnetic flux in these headphones? Just what kind of magnetic abomination are you looking to wear over your ears? O_0

shionmuNot sure about the T1 gen3, but the T1 gen2 is an amazing headphone. Especially so when paired with a tube amp.
FayneThe T1 gen3's are warmer out the gate, so no tubes needed. They're definitely a lot more laid back and smoother, for a Beyer.

FayneT1 Gen3's are way too warm and muddy imo.

Idk, I didn't find them all that muddy. Maybe compared to the previous models but even then it just seems more warm and full rather than muddy. They are the first Beyerdynamics that I would consider for a relaxed listen. My only complaint is the area between 2k and 5k could use a couple db boost to balance things out. They sound amazing with eq. With that said I do think there may be a driver performance benefit of the older models. Maybe it is just the extra treble tricking me but the older models seemed a bit more precise. Oddly even the drivers in my old T90's seem to have better potential. With both Eq'd to my preference I actually prefer the T90 and that is something I don't recall being true with the gen 1 I had.

shionmuThe JVC HA-SW01 drivers has 1 TESLA OF ENERGY so this ain't just a good diaphragm, it's also a very strong magnet. I would describe the presence and clarity as very good, if factoring it with a silver cable, even with crazy amount of bass I still can hear the mids and highs clearly.
