The JWICK Taro is a tactile switch that combines three of the most popular materials and leverages each of their best qualities. The polycarbonate top housing makes for a rigid, high-durability shell to protect the inner workings of the switch, while the nylon bottoming housing and POM stem material adds just the right level of smoothness when depressed. All of the components use a new molding process that—when paired with the housing’s slightly protruding internal support for the stem—make for an impressive wobble-free experience. The 67 grams of required actuation force ensure an impressively substantial keystroke with plenty of meat on its bones, while the 3.7-millimeter travel delivers the right balance of distance and quickness.
