If I wasn't "on the wagon" I'd get this one along with the micarta scales. I just purchased the Schrade SCHF42 and got a set of canvass Micarta scales for it and had a professional edge put on it. So I don't need this knife. But it certainly "speaks" to the blade collector/addict in me...lol. [img:SCHF42_with new edge and scales 6-20-15 016.vkd.JPG]

badman400Bad man, where did you get Micarta scales for the SCHF42?
I have one of those knives and really dig it. Not the best fit and finish on it, but a really good knife, and a great value. Feels fantastic in the hand when you take off the scales and buff the corner edges where they butt up against the tang. I bet it's even better with the Micarta.
I've never had a Becker tweenie, but couldn't help but notice how similar the handles look on the two. I have to think the SCHF42 was based largely on the Becker tweenies.
This BK-15 will be my first tweenie, and I'm looking forward to getting it. I was hoping for the BK-16 this drop, though. Hopefully next time.

K.T.NSorry for the slow response. Got them from this Face Book site: "LMF Knives by Joe Snarski". Great service. Very nice feel. I chose the "bead blasted" finish, as it has a bit more texture to it for grip purchase. I think the "sealed" or shinier version would be a bit too slick. Besides I like the "worn/distressed" look of the bead blast.
