As a historic cherry brown user who feels that browns are a bit light and not as springy as they should be... these copper switches are perfect. They fix all my issues with browns. They are very quick, have a great sound, and are the perfect balance between light weight and tactile. I am beyond happy with these... Just swapped my Halo Clears for the Copper speed switches and I'm, OH SO, happy! I feel like I've found the perfect switch for me finally... this is exactly what I have been searching for the whole time! I highly recommend them to anyone.
Kailh Speed Bronzes are the original "modern" clicky switch. Clickbars are immensely satisfying to type on. I bought these when the click bar tech was one of a kind along with some Kailh Speed Pinks (identical to Bronzes) as a more linear clicky switch with a more brief very sharp tactile bump while also having shorter travel time was intriguing. I lubed them and put in much heavier 125g springs to lessen the tactility as much as possible to create a nearly linear switch with a very loud click. I put them on my "SplitFox60"

These switches I think mark the point at which Kailh really started grabbing everyone's attention with all the other great switches they started pumping out. Kailh Speed Bronzes truly were the greatest modern clicky switch out there until the thick clickbar switches became available. Do I still think older switches like Aristotles, Blue Alps, and buckling springs sound better? Yes. Absolutely. But in terms of feel, these are second only to THICC CLICCS.
I have the Silver and Coppers and the Silvers are great (5/5 in that they beat my expectations). The Coppers on the other hand have an "odd" tactility to them in that the bump is more pronounced on the upstroke than the down. So, to me, the Coppers feel like MX Brown when pressed and MX clear on the return. The activation point is noticeably higher to me and I like this for gaming. My personal opinion is as follows:
Speed Silver > MX Red
MX Clear > Speed Copper > MX Brown (mainly due to the bump / tactility)
Very Very good switches from Kailh! I bought 110 pc for Bronze Switches and it work really nice. I think ti is even better than Cherry Blue switches (personal opinion). If I would choose between Cherry Blue and Kailh Bronze. I definitely go for this bronze guy!!
Twice I’ve ordered coppers.
Twice Drop has sent me bronzes.
Twice I’ve wasted my time.
Im beginning to understand why people on here are so aggravated with Drop’s customer disrespect department.
Better than I expected. The .3 +/- is a thing.
I would test some in the wasd if your gaming. Make sure they trigger as you like. Some switches do actuate much easier. Some a little more. But felt better than my current cherry mx reds.
I'm a huge fan of Gold one, I highly recommend. It's blue switch with tiny travel distance. I always though blue travel distance was too high. With gold, it's perfect. It's basically fixed blue switches.
Ill start by saying that box white switches are my favorite switch there is. The only down side to the box whites are that they are kinda the worst when it comes to gaming. Luckily, the speed bronze feel like the an gaming focused box white switch. A little faster, lighter click, but still fun even just to type on.
I bought these after using my blues, and I have to say I'm blown away. These actuate so fast compared to the blues. It feels like my fingers are just floating across the keyboard. My only regret is that I only bought 110 and not more.
The keys are great, but it would have been nice for Massdrop to let me know they're white base, not black. They look pretty stupid in my plexiglass Iris with black PCB. Don't hate it enough to return them, but I'm not happy.
