Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). It’s a concise and comprehensive overview with links to some great sites that go deeper. He also has a separate Links about keyboards page. The Keyboard layouts doc he recommends explains layout goals and metrics in detail, summarizing the alt layouts discussed here as well as more than one hundred others. The thing that is really neat is that you can calculate on the calculator mode and then press the "send" button on the numpad and it will copy the answer to your computers clipboard.
Also it is programmable, so you can make your workloads / gaming more effective by using the numpad as a dedicated macro pad.
But ofcourse, if you cannot find use for any of the aforementioned features, then it is just not ment for you.
I crunch numbers daily at work and I absolutely loathe working with software based calculators/touchscreens!
My only complaint about this drop would be that it's limited to one color only. I don't see this strong red matching anything I got unfortunately.
