Does it job, both as a keycap puller and a stress reliever.
I pulled multiple keysets, DSA, SA, XDA and some stock Topre caps and none have been an issue, no scratching on the caps, not even on cheap ones.
And the keys on it are relatively fun to play with.
Great product.
Great to kill time while your work on your new keyboard
A simple idea to add a few switches in the keycap puller itself while you work on your keyboard switching caps. While is mostly plastic, I think it's sturdy enough to last a long time.
You cant beat the price for a nifty little keycap puller and switch tester. The switch tester is probably more for show than actually testing switches but it still works great!
Rating is only for the "as-shipped" product. Five minutes of modification and this can be a 5 star product.
First off, the included switches and keycaps are horrendously cheap. I really don't get it - Kailh makes some fantastic switches, but chose to slap on their crappy little Cherry clones? Also, two of the (cheap and tacky) keycaps pulled off with the tiniest amount of off-axis action. I swapped the whole lot for three extra switches I had lying around (BOX Jade, Speed Bronze, and Holy Pandas) and some blank DSA caps. The improvement was immeasurable.
Additionally, they chose to ship this thing with a prominent Kailh logo/website sticker. The plastic is already embossed on both sides with the company logo, so this just feels tacky and in-your-face. I might understand if these were meant to be free giveaways, but as a purchased product it's rather off-putting. Scratched this off and cleaned the goop with rubbing alcohol. It wasn't even hiding part lines or injection pin holes, very odd design decision...
After these mods the product is a really cool desk toy and keyboard tool (keycap puller works well btw). I wish they'd just spend an extra 10¢ at the factory and ship it with some decent switches and keycaps.
Pulls keys and keeps my fingies occupied when I'm fidgety. Best $10 I've ever spent. You can also put any switch or key you want on the 3 slots, which is coolio.
