Got this from Kailh online store. It feels like Topre switch when I first pressed it because of the rounded bump, but it feels like linear switch after the bump. Its feedback is weaker and the spring softer than Topre too. TBH, I will call it a failed clone of Topre. If you like this, you probably like Topre switch more because it's way smoother and with clear feedback.

Any ideas on how these would compare to Kailh Box Whites? I'm not switch smart

these are kailh pro purples with a very slightly bigger tactile bump (really really minor difference). if you like pro purples, you'll like these... but it seems hard to justify the increased price tag over them.

may be an ignorant question, but how do these compare to MX Clears or Hako Royal Clears? I have MX Clears at work, and love them, but was looking for something a bit heavier with a more pronounced bump, but not sure that I like the Halo Royal Clears I tried for home. The Royal Clears just feel a bit off to my taste, hard to describe, maybe the bump comes too soon, IDK. So was looking at these and Holy Pandas.

So I guess they are like a halo with a larger bump, but the pretravel of a kailh propurple.

look elsewhere. id suggest holy pandas (the real version - not drops version) or zeals... zealio or zilent.

I already have some Halo True's and Everglide Oreo's; are these different enough in feel to warrant getting them?

Ah, I need something quite hard to press down. I believe the True's are heavier than the Clear's, and those seem fine, but it's my first time getting switches so I'm not sure if I'm completely wrong! It's a shame, they look good!

True's bottom-out is heavier than the Clear's - but actuation is slightly lighter. Clears have a more "traditionally" weighted spring, where the Trues have a "fast curve" or maybe "progressive" spring that starts light and quickly gets heavy. Depending on how you type, Trues can feel pretty normal or really heavy.

I bought some of these from AliExpress some time ago, and I can tell you the marketing on these is 98% pure wank. These are good switches, and I do think they're worth the price, too - it's just that the description is not at all accurate. These do not feel like Holy Pandas, even a little bit. They do feel like Halos with a lighter spring, because that's what they are, and as such you *can* use their stems in Panda housings to make something that feels just like like a Holy Panda. The whole "fourth feeling" thing is... silly. This is a tactile switch, full-stop. I do think the feeling is novel compared to an MX Brown, but that's not exactly a high bar these days. I do think these represent a refinement of the Halo concept; I think the lighter spring brings out the novel and interesting properties of the stem and housings. Where a standard tactile might actuate on a center bump, with these it's more like they actuate in a center valley, with the bump being up-top. Halos themselves brought this style to the mainstream, and they're still some of the best of that style, including these Polias. Drop: If you didn't realize these were periwinkle-colored Halos with lighter springs, well - I guess the cat's out of the bag. I think you should keep selling them, and I think you should let Kailh keep selling them, too - they're good switches and I think Kailh should benefit from improving them as much as you guys do.

I got the feeling that they are pro-purples with a more noticeable bump.

Same housing and stem as a Halo (complete with light-pipe) - just the spring and color are different. Def closer to a Halo in feel than a Pro Purp, but can confirm it has more of a bump than one.

I just wanted to point out the description mentions 5 pin but they are in fact 3 pin.

For those who are interested by user reviews, there's a thread that's been up for a while on keebtalk: https://www.keebtalk.com/t/kailh-polia-new-expensive-tactile-switch/11121/30?u=goguma

TL;DR Halo clone with lighter spring. I suspect that the bump is only perceived to be bigger because of the lighter spring.
