CreamytorrTo sleep in a gathered end hammock without being bent into a banana all night, you sleep on an angle. So, while lounging around in a hammock with another person either normally or even perpendicular is maybe comfortable for a time (not really), it isn't comfortable enough to sleep. Plus, as the night goes on and you are sleeping, getting out of the hammock without upending the other person when you have to get a drink, pee, or tend the fire is impossible. Getting back in would be even worse for you both. Just trust that you only want one person per hammock when it comes time to sleep.
