Excellent, I was familiar with the VG10 steel so had expectations. This has quickly become my favourite kitchen knife. I have yet to sharpen it, but I don't expect that to be a problem. I will keep my eye out for a smaller pairing knife type companion, as this is a large knife, and not the best choice for some more delicate tasks.
