Traditionally a Japanese utility blade used by children to sharpen pencils, the Kiridashi has recently come back into popularity thanks to useful design and ease of carry. With a 1.9-inch chisel-ground blade made from SK5 carbon steel, this Kridashi is great for light duty, like carving wood, slicing cardboard, and peeling fruits and veggies. The handle is super lightweight, which owes to its cherry wood construction. Sanded to a smooth finish, the handle is also rounded for a comfy feel. With no blade guard, it allows you to choke up tight on the blade for maximum precision. A cherry wood sheath accompanies the knife for convenient carry.
