Im having trouble figuring something out. Can I use these speakers with a Magni/Modi setup? I read that you shouldn't plug powered speakers into an amp because you could blow one or the other (or both). So I am trying to figure out if I can get everything working without plugging the speakers into the amp. Problem is, there is only one output... Can I just get s splitter and go from the dac to the amp and the speakers? Would that affect the audio quality at all?

The Modi is a DAC so you can run the RCA out from the Modi directly into the YU5's. The Magni is an amp so you wouldn't have to use this in the audio chain at all seeing as our speakers are powered (amplified). Let me know if you have any other questions, thanks,

KantoLivingWell, the amp would be for my headphones. Seeing as I cant plug them into the speaker (unless I missed something?). I did a little more research and I am pretty positive I can get everytjing working the way I want it to.

MrOzymandiasIf you have a Magni Uber, you can plug the preamp outputs from that into these and then use the switch on the back of the amp to select headphone or speaker out. That way you also get USB in from the Modi, which gives you extra versatility.
