Just received the Kanto YU5. It connects to my Apple devices but not Android - strange..... The Sound: the instrumentals and vocals sound a little thin and sharp for me (absence of mid). Maybe I'll try the YUMI Next.

Wont connect to android via what connection? Bluetooth? I have a note 4 and 5 and both work beautifully with bluetooth (Aptx is a very nice feature to have). My music sounds accurate. You should try messing with the treble/bass on the speakers and also equalizer settings on your phone (My favorite music player is blackplayer which has an equalizer). I'm really enjoying the sound these create (At this price point)

I didn't use the remote. I'm not sure if that means the equalizer is off? I compared it to a range of speakers I use: Yamaha NS10M, Presonus Ceres 4.5BT and NXG DECO5 and LG Soundbar LAS551H. I usually prefer not to use equalizers. I'll try to use the remote to reset/ turn off the equalizer on the Kanto YU5 to test again. Thanks.
