FWIW I bought the Kanto YUMIs about 9 months ago, they are very impressive speakers both in build and sound quality. They have similar size and specs to the YU5s but 30W v 40W of the YU5. I don't think the YU5 was available at the time. I love the sound and features - many input options. Eventually got rid of my beast of a receiver and 5.1 setup and now use these as my main source for TV sound and music. They are hooked up to my TV, Apple TV and Turntable (via phono preamp) plus bluetooth works flawlessly. I disconnected my sub because it was overkill. Granted, my setup isn't considered audiophile but for the average listener these are fantastic. Everyone that comes over thinks they are amazing. I bought the matte white for the YUMIs. Just picked up the YU3s last month in matte grey - wicked colour and these sound great too. Would have jumped on this too had I not had speakers setup in virtually every room in my condo. If I haven't said it already, these are really solid speakers with great functionality and I really don't think you will be disappointed at this price.

Thanks for your opinion! I think I'm going to do it! How loud can they get?
