Customizable Everyday Pen

Handcrafted by a small team of experts in Mesa, Arizona, the INK fountain pen is built to stand up to daily use—and look good doing it. Each pen features a sleek silhouette, a threaded cap, and a sturdy clip that keeps it upright in your pocket when you’re on the move. The rest, dear scribes, is up to you. Customize the materials and nib size to suit your personal aesthetic and writing style. Looking for lighter weight? Stick with aluminum. Like a little heft? Try brass or copper instead. You can even pick the metal used for the grip section to get the balance just right.

Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of body material in Black or Silver Aluminum; Brass (+ $45); or Copper (+ $80), grip section material in Black, Silver, or Tumbled Raw Aluminum; Brass (+ $10); or Copper (+ $20), and Bock nib size in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, or Broad. Please note that, in order to avoid scratching the metal, we recommend you don’t post your pen. This drop is limited to 15 units of Broad nib.

Versatile Refilling

The INK fountain pen accepts Schmidt K5 piston converters and Monteverde short international ink cartridges (both included). Pair it with bottled inks from any of your favorite brands. Or, pop in a cartridge and you’re ready to go.

Hi @BILLKARAS, As I didn't see the typical vendor "V" by your name, I wasn't sure who you were at first. Now I realize you THE Karas in KARAS KUSTOMS. After learning a bit more about your brand and the enormous effort put into each model and unit as well as you commitment to customer service, I think I understand some of the reasoning behind the limited discounts. I would imagine that one of the benefits of working with Massdrop is that they are another retail outlet that can provide reasonably sized orders. For customers who know about your product, and know you sell direct (and even with some nifty discounts), it makes it more difficult to justify going through Massdrop, especially with the longer "purchase decision" to "shipping" time. I don't know how much margin you and Massdrop have to work with, but I would imagine that many more folks would be interested if the pens could be offered with a "absolutely best price available - even with free shipping and promo codes" sort of deal. Even if this price were only available at a substantially larger purchase commitment. Having the final price be so close to what we can get straight from you or an established, highly respected online retailer dissuades members from purchasing through Massdrop and dealing with wait times, etc. I'm very pleasantly surprised you're as involved with this discussion as you are and I hope that something can be arranged that's acceptable to you, Massdrop, your other retailers and (of course) us, the customers. In the meantime, Karas fountain pens are on my list to eventually purchase (once I have any money) because of the stellar quality, the commitment to making them in the USA, your support and, of course, because they're excellent pens. Thanks again for contributing to the conversation and I hope to see another Karas drop soon, whether or not I can purchase at that time. Cheers.
