Bluetooth Mechanical Mod
Having the functionality similar to the Varmilo bluetooth keyboard, the KB87 is a mod that brings together function with some unique aesthetics. This is a bluetooth 4.0 mechanical keyboard that comes with blank PBT keycaps, anodized switch plates, backlighting, and bottom LED options that you can choose from to create a custom keyboard.
Note: At check-out, you can choose your Gateron switches (Blue, Brown, Green, or Red), Cherry switches (Blue, Brown, Clear, Green, or Red), keycaps style (blank PBT black or rainbow), switch plates (anodized aluminum in silver, black, or titanium grey), white backlighting, and bottom LEDs (white or blue). Construction
The keyboard comes with keycaps made from PBT plastic and gives a choice between Cherry MX and Gateron switches. For the unfamiliar Gateron’s run similar specs as compared to Cherry MX switches, but with an arguably smoother typing feel. The bottom case is made of acrylic that allows for bottom LEDs to shine through and the switch plate is made of silver anodized aluminum allowing for a satisfying typing experience.
Functionality
This keyboard is Mac compatible with a 6-key rollover. Built with Nordic's nRF51822 BLE 4.0 chip allows for a more reliable and stable connection at up to 10 meters unobstructed while still having significantly lower power consumption.
