Some plate mounted stabs hit the PCB some don't. It depends on the board. The stabs on my alt do but a quick bandaid mod improved the feel and sound greatly.

Are you talking about PCB mounted or PCB screw-in? I understand PCB screw in has the best stability, but whats the logic behind PCB mounted being better than plate mounted? I have no experience in the matter but it seems to me the plate adds more uniform structure and rigidity to the placement of the stabs, kinda how its better to have a plate if your switches don't have 5 prongs.
The reason I ask is, I'm building a keyboard almost identical to this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EW_RmzRUjR4&t=398s) and if you watch 1:59-2:50, he discusses how he cant use the screw-in variant due to case screw placement. In this scenario would you still recommend the PCB mount over plate mount?
Additionally my plate is carbon fiber so I dont think it will have the pinging issues that some aluminum plates have

I got my board today. No coiled cable just a silver braided cable. Also the instructions from the KBDFans page for layer commands don't work.

Trial a dcerror, I can't really remember but do what Crabbypatty suggests until you configure a reset option in via/qmk.

Should be the reset switch in the middle top of the PCB. You will need the back of case off. Later, you can add a reset key to the firmware you wish to compile if you lack Github fear. There may already be a keystroke combo. Try Fn and Esc.

This is nice but I'd like the pcb only. There is a serious lack of pure 60% hotswap pcbs. Why isn't it listed on KBDfans website?

Sakobecause they upgraded to the DZ60 RGB ANSI Hotswap V2 (black PCB instead of purple). Kinda sucks that I paid $55 for this PCB, then $90 for a case, $40 for the plate, $20 for a nice set of purple and green c3 preclipped stabs with washers and screws. Then KBDfans makes a prebuilt configuraion for $139 and then drop this. They do sell this PCB by itself its just not the purple one anymore its black in color.
Here is the link for the newest version of this same ANSI RGB DZ60 hotswap PCB (i think they stopped selling these purple versions on the site by themselves because of so many questions about what case and layout you could do with it. as it supports like 4 or 5 different layouts like the 60% with dedicated arrow keys on the bottom right)

DSA 9009 Dye-Subbed PBT and Cherry Hami Melon Dye-Subbed PBT photos are incorrect currently. They should be swapped.
