The stand was really easy to put together, it came with a rubber adhesive strip to protect your Keyboard from coming into contact and getting scratched by the frame of the stand. My GMMK 2 w/ GMK Red Samurai Keycaps (Cherry Profile) fits on it really well but the Keycaps do come really close to the Frame itself. You don’t want to put the rubber strip all the way up the front of the stand where it curves up in front of the Keycaps otherwise it will push your keys in a little ways so I recommend going right to the base of the curve or just slightly up the curve. All in all the KeebMonkey Single Tier Keyboard Stand is a great and easy to set up product that I would recommend to any Friends, Family, or any other fellow Keyboard Enthusiasts
Expensive? Yes.
But also great? Yes.
I do wish these things were a bit cheaper, but they are excellent for what they are. I would also recommend getting some sticky felt strips to apply to the tops before storing keyboards on them (so your metal boards don't get scratched).
So this is just an acrylic kit with metal rods connecting the two. Great and pretty minimal for anyone with a problem collecting keyboards. It's not the highest quality in the word but easy to set-up and inexpensive. I do believe the item could be cheaper for what it is but it does it's job well.
Only thing I really didn't like with it is that it comes with 3M pads to keep from wearing your keyboards finishes comes as generic length strip so you kind of either have to guess your lengths or measure to set it up with no real install instructions. Not that it's entirely difficult but I can imagine people installing the pads incorrectly and not utilizing them properly.
I got the triple stands and they're great. I thought I would have trouble getting some of my smaller boards and oddly shaped ones on there but so far everything I wanted to display has fit nicely. They give you plenty of silicone bumpers to help protect the boards on the stands and enough leftover to use on the bottom to keep the stand from sliding around
Acrylic walls are not very thick(almost 1cm), it won't fit every board as there is not much room in each slot, and I couldn't fit any of my boards with MT3 caps in it. GMK caps are fine.
The stand is good looking and very easy to put together. It does a pretty good job of displaying your keyboards and is a decent value as well.
Only 2 problems with it: tall keyboards or keyboards with taller (MT3, SA) keycaps have their keys pressed by the front lip of the stand, and the package doesn't include enough of the adhesive backed protective film for the triple stand. You have to cut that film down into tiny pieces to have enough, the triple keyboard stand should probably include twice as much as it does.
The stand feels sturdy and looks nice. There are some minor imperfections in the metal cross-members and the acrylic sides but no deal breakers. The addition of the 3M protection strips is a little tedious and you need to plan ahead to size them up.
