Is this a usb c or usb micro for power?

It is microUSB for power, not USB type C. The microUSB is also necessary for communicating touchscreen interaction to the connected device, so power & data to be specific (unless you want display-only non-touchscreen, a USB charger plugged into an outlet may work in that scenario.)
