When it comes to backpacking and your favorite beverage, every ounce counts. At just 2.2 ounces, the Keith Titanium flask is an easy way to bring your libations along Read More
The description of this item opens with a mention of backpacking….I understand flasks from the standpoint of having an attractive and portable place to store your booze, and I have a couple flasks. However, from the standpoint of a dedicated backpacking flask, I don't see any advantage of this flask over a similar size plastic bottle.I currently use empty 200 mL everclear bottles (I buy everclear often for uses beyond drinking). Plastic bottles are lighter, cheaper, and don't impart taste. And if you lose it, or drop it, etc you will mourn any booze left more than you will the bottle. I guess you can group this item with a plethora of other backpacking items seeking a place in our packs, but ultimately don't offer much value (especially to ultralight minded backpackers).
BleetherHA! yes...yes it is ghetto as fuck. That's sort of the point. I endorse this flask all day long for daily use, or as your "go to" flask, but out in the back country? Ghetto or not, it's all about function. I actually dig this flask very much and will get one eventually (not in the budget ATM). But I wouldn't want to lose it or have it get banged up. Your comment gave me a good laugh.
This flash looks cool but it's not great functionally. Funnel doesn't pour, I end up using a funnel from a different flask. The cap doesn't always seal when you think it's screwed down.
MisterPinkNever had an issue with the original model, you should lift any funnel when pouring into a flask to allow airflow. But I’ve owned 3 of these one of which heavily used and no cap issues thus far
