the 450 is about the same price as the snowpeak 450, any reason to get this one over the snowpeak?

Heck no! Snow Peak is Japanese made, and top quality. Keith is Chinese made, probably a knock off of the Snow Peak, and may match the quality of the Snow Peak. For me, I'd pay extra for Japanese made (a country that, unlike China, seems to still have some ethics... and that matters to me).
What’s the smallest size that will nest a small fuel canister?

HoosierVolunteerCurious, too. The small msr canister is listed at 3.5" and the 600 here is listed at 3.6" - we know the 650 fits the canister, but would like to know if the 600 fits.

Are these designed to stack on top of each other (e.g. for storage in a cabinet)?

Would it be possible to boil water directly in this mug safely?

marcusayxAbsolutely! The melting point of titanium is 1668 ºC (with variation depending upon the composition of the alloy), whereas even large campfires won't tend to exceed 1100 ºC. By comparison, aluminium's melting point is only 660 ºC.

marcusayxThis is a pot with a handle, so therefore, its called a mug. Definitely for cooking but with the added convenience of going straight from the stove to your mouth - silicone lips recommended.

Nesting tends to be for saving space rather than protection

That's what I do... keep the canister separate. Let's me shove a bunch of other stuff inside my cook-kit. Works great, and has NEVER been an issue.

For those wanting nesting info check out Keith Thorne's review in the reviews section. Should be a help until MD has a nesting guide
