Last time, the price wasn't so good compared to Amazon. This time, it's a lot better! Large is $23.84 on Amazon and small is $14.95. You get them sooner on Amazon, of course, but for a $15 savings for the pair, seems worth the wait.
So review doesn't work, I post mine here.
I have bought the small and the largest and for now I'm only using the large model for caring knifes.
The dimensions are similar than the pélican case previously sold by massdrop.
I have all three sizes of these (in a different color scheme) and only really use the medium one to store stuff when I am traveling. I haven't found a use case for the large or the small one yet.
They've had these at the same price for the last couple months at Sierra Trading Post, give or take the cost of shipping.
I'm assuming they're left over from last year. For good reason. The quality is meh. I ordered four of them and returned them right away. I'll try to post a review later.
Edit: (1) These are currently in stock at Sierra Trading Post B&M locations, if you have one nearby. Just saw them on the rack yesterday.
Edit: (2) Looks like they aren't accepting reviews for this product, so I'll post a brief one here. I bought a couple of each of the small and medium boxes last month. Basically, they're not horrible. The rigid top & bottom shells seem pretty durable. But the stitching is irregular so the shells bunch up oddly. Maybe the shells are just incorrectly sized for the side panels. You can see this in the pictures. Inside, the boxes have a mesh pocket under the lid, a small nylon pocket with a velcro flap, and one or two dividers that can be moved/remounted with velcro. Overall, they're just kind of cheap and flimsy. You can find kids' pencil boxes at Office Depot, made of rigid foam, about the same size as the medium and better made. So I bought some of those. Bonus: the pencil boxes are printed with awesome pictures of boogers and slime. Can't beat that.
@sil3ntscr3am sorry for the confusion - this drop is for 1 box, either the medium (base price) or you can upgrade to the large (+$3). You can also choose to add-on an additional small box to your order for ($9).
